Law Office of Sarah A. Carr
EN ESPAÑOL
Sarah was born in upstate New York, but moved to Hillsborough, North Carolina when she was in kindergarten. Sarah grew up in Hillsborough where she became involved in the community through various civic organizations at an early age.  Sarah didn't go far to get her undergraduate education, venturing just down the road to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow.  Sarah received a Bachelor's in Foreign Language Education (Spanish) from UNC.

After graduating from UNC, Sarah moved to Mexico City, Mexico, where she spent two years teaching English as a foreign language to business executives (Wal-Mart, IBM, GrantThornton).  During this time, Sarah completely immersed herself in the study of the Spanish language and Mexican culture (which of course, included eating a lot of tacos al pastor!)

Before opening her own practice (and while in law school), Sarah worked for a large, quick service restaurant chain in North Carolina.  In that capacity, Sarah fulfilled many roles as a recruiter, interpreter, translator, and trainer.  She brings this experience in human resources to her practice, as well as the emphasis on providing a quality product with a smile.

In law school at North Carolina Central University, Sarah was Co-Chair of the Hispanic Law Students Association, a member of the Women's Law Caucus, and her Evening Program's class representative for her school's Student Bar Association. Because of this involvement, Sarah received the Dean's Leadership Award for her graduating class.

Sarah lives in Durham, North Carolina with her two big dogs and a feral rescue kitty.  In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking along the Eno, visiting North Carolina wineries and breweries, cheering on the Tar Heels, and enjoying local hot spots, such as the Durham Farmer's Market, the American Tobacco Trail district, and the wonderful Durham food scene.
